What is in an Elite Trainer Box?

An Elite Trainer Box is the big one: a stack of packs, a card box to keep them in, sleeves, dice, damage counters and a status marker. The pack count has changed over the years, so check the box you are actually buying.

That is what this kind of product usually holds. It is deliberately not stated per set, because the contents have changed between releases and we do not have a per set count we can stand behind. What we do have is what came out of the ones opened here, counted below, and how many packs each kind of product holds, which is read off the manufacturer's and the sellers' own pages with the source on every number.

The promo card sealed in each of those boxes

Every Elite Trainer Box comes with one promo card, sitting in the tray under the sleeves rather than inside any of the packs. It is part of the product, so it is the same card in every copy of that set's box: one card per set below, listed once however many boxes of it we opened. Chaos Rising is the clearest case: 24 openings of it on this page, across more than one box, and the same single card in every one of them.

Nobody pulled these. This is what the box holds before it is opened, read off The Pokemon Company's own product page for each one, and that is why it is on this page instead of with the pulls. The Hall of Fame and every hit we list are only ever a record of what came out of a pack on camera, and an Elite Trainer Box promo never does. The card each row names is the standard Elite Trainer Box's; the Pokemon Center edition of all of these carries its own version stamped with the Pokemon Center logo, and we do not list it, because our product tag cannot tell the two boxes apart and we will not guess which one was on the desk.

Pack prices works out what that comes to per pack, and what it should cost has the retail figure to measure any of it against. Each photograph is TCGplayer's, and it is that row's own product rather than a stand-in, which is why the art is different in every one of them.
