Does Dollar General sell Pokemon cards?
Yes, in stores. Dollar General has a Pokemon category of its own under Toys & Games, and its Pokemon trading card listings say plainly that the item is not eligible for delivery.

What they stock
Small sealed only, so packs, blisters and tins rather than boxes. Packs, tins and repackaged formats: single packs, mini tins, three-booster tins, Poke Ball tins, a mini portfolio with a booster in it. Nothing box sized appeared on their site.

Dollar General files Pokemon under Toys & Games, so the toy aisle. Their stores are small enough that this is usually one short run of shelving.

If the shelf is empty, ask
If you cannot see any, ask anyway. A lot of shops now keep trading cards behind the counter, in a locked case or in the back, and plenty do not put them on the sales floor at all. An empty peg is not the same as no stock, and people walk out of shops that had the thing every day of the week.
The question to ask is specific: do you have any Pokemon cards behind the counter. A staff member who has been asked ten times that morning will answer it in three seconds, and 'do you sell Pokemon cards' gets you pointed at an empty shelf.

Before you pay for it
Work out the multiple before you hand the money over. What a sealed product is supposed to cost has the suggested figure for every format and a calculator that does the division. If you are buying online instead, where to buy records what each venue costs once shipping and buyer fees are counted, and what recourse you have when something arrives wrong.
