What they stock

Where in the shop to look

GameStop files them under Toys & Games, then Trading Cards, and carries Graded Trading Cards as its own separate category. In a shop that size the card fixture is usually within sight of the register, which is also where you have to ask for anything in the locked case.

If the shelf is empty, ask

If you cannot see any, ask anyway. A lot of shops now keep trading cards behind the counter, in a locked case or in the back, and plenty do not put them on the sales floor at all. An empty peg is not the same as no stock, and people walk out of shops that had the thing every day of the week.
